Hearthsummer 2026

This is a safe, family oriented, pluralistic, inclusive event\!

Hey\! It's that special time of year\! Where it's hot af and we live in GA and for some reason we still want to go out into nature and yell at the sky in front of a fire\! Been on the fence about coming to an event? Too far to travel sometimes? 

This is the event that's worth coming to. 

Well to solve some of that heat problem we have rented an event space just like we do for all of our events\! We will be indoors in the AC, plenty of space, bathrooms connected to the building and a private parking lot just for our group.

We are ordering pizza to feed every one (pepperoni, cheese and a couple specialties). I still encourage folks to bring anything they feel like contributing if they want. Deserts, snacks, chips, or a dish you just want to share with folks will of course be welcome regardless   
We'll also be providing Gatorade and some sodas but again if you want to bring something you can't go wrong by doing so. 

If you have dietary restrictions/  allergies you'll make that known after you pay when you fill out the private Google doc form labeled "Hearthsummer 2025" I'll DM you. 

So, what are we gonna DO? 

Every one will arrive between 10 and 11 (please try not to be late\!) We'll eat as soon as the pizza arrives at 1 or sooner. 

There will be plenty of time to hang out in fellowship. Strongly recommend you card game nerds bring your decks or boardgames that don't take a huge time commitment or need quiet to play or cause you to be too loud. 

I look forward to having down time to chat and get to know any new folks. 

  We are doing our annual:

Gratitude (something from the past year you are grateful for)  
Gains (something you are proud of accomplishing this past year)  
Goals (plans for the future year)

We'll all sit down together and go around the room and ask what every one is grateful for, then what every one is proud of accomplishing, and then what goals folks want to declare for themselves.I WOULD LIKE THIS PREWRITTEN FOR WHAT YOU WANT TO SAY HERE. PLEASE KEEP THEM TIMELY TO BE MINDFUL OF EVERY ONE ELSE\!

And then the main event of course is Ritual. 

 If you want to be thinking about what you may want to share as part of your time at the fire you have a few days to figure it out 

As always I invite you to bring a rock with you from home\! It will help us construct the Horgr (stone altar in the ritual space). The purpose of Hearthfire is that we are a collection of hearths... a collection of homes that live apart but come together once a month and with our rocks we are taking pieces of our home and building a new home together temporarily. At the end of ritual the blessing bowl will be poured out onto the Horgr and you then will take your blessed rock home with you  

And bring something to share on the community altar. Can be a statue, feather, gem, cloth or honestly any item that is spiritually significant from your personal praxis. It will go on the community altar signifying the community that builds spirituality together. You will of course take your rock and altar item home with you.

And also bring something for the Ancestors Altar which is where we honor those of our family, adopted, blood, or historical figure that inspires,  who have passed on. 

The goal is to start ritual in the earlier evening time so that after ritual we will have some space to hang out and process together either in the Vé or elsewhere (inside with the ac maybe haha). I'm making sure we have space for that this event before we get to packing up and loading stuff. 

That said, I will ask that everyone who can stick around to the end of the event after ritual please do so\! I fully understand that some folks will have to get on the road and get back home but we will have clean up and pack up to take care of.
